(Special Feature for Eating Disorder Awareness Week)

Eating Disorders Awareness Week is a national campaign that takes place every year to raise awareness about eating disorders and provide resources for those who are curious about signs of disorders or who are interested in seeking treatment. This topic is HOT, and with more and more people becoming aware of the signs, I felt it was time to share my story, alongside Kim!

*SPECIAL FEATURE*

Although I personally have never been diagnosed with an eating disorder, after some critical experiences as a teen, I've  developed some weird food triggers as an adult. I recently published a blog post to share my story. It is a very raw and heartfelt account of my dysfunctional relationship with food and how some emotional challenge were the result of food impacting on my life growing up.

Meet Kim...
Sadly, like many , Kim was bullied as a child and turned to chocolate treats at the corner shop to soothe her soul. Her binge eating disorder really started back in 2013 after she was put on an extremely strict bodybuilder diet - with zero sugar or cheat meals for 7 months!  As soon as she showed off her 6 pack in a bikini and finished the season, she piled on 2.5 stone in 3 months and it wasn’t until after at least another year of yo-yo dieting that then her best friend pointed out that I had BED- Binge Eating Disorder.

Thankfully, Kim is now fully cured and with 7 years experience in the health and wellness industry, She is making it her personal mission to help women to overcome their addiction to food; we all deserve to live a life with freedom from a food addiction.
